If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t want to leave your pets behind on your amazing outdoor adventures. Thankfully, pet-friendly lodging, particularly in outdoorsy places is on the rise. Check out the following 3 awesome hotels and glamping resorts that you must visit!
- Best Friends Roadhouse is the epitome of pet-friendly lodging and was designed specifically to cater to folks traveling with pets. They have a fenced-in dog park with a splash zone, a washing station, a mercantile with plenty of pet items, treats everywhere, pull-out dog beds in the bedroom, food and water bowls AND you can ask at the front desk for pet-walking services. They provide food and water bowls. This place is in Kanab Utah, and is right on the edge of the Grand Staircase National Monument, 30 mins or so from Zion national park, an hour and a half from Grand Canyon National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. They are also located just down the road from Best Friends Animal Sanctuary which is an incredible nonprofit organization that operates the nation’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals and provides adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs.
- AutoCamp Zion is a new Luxury Outdoor Glamping Resort just 17 minutes outside of the Springdale South entrance of Zion National Park. It’s a 16-acre site with over 80 refurbished airstreams in a little town called Virgin, Utah, right on the Virgin River and nestled between dramatic rock landscapes. And yes, even though it is a Luxury spot, they still allow pets to come along with them. Each airstream has its own private outdoor space and there are a bunch of beautiful communal spaces that make you never want to leave. They have a large pool, a clubhouse, an onsite restaurant, a kid’s play area, and a bunch of beautiful outdoor spaces for you to enjoy when you aren’t out exploring. This place is definitely a one-stop shop for those looking to enjoy the outdoors but wants a more elevated luxury experience.
- Yonder Escalante is an incredible tiny home/glamping resort in a small town called Escalante, just outside the Escalante National Monument, and within an hour from both Capitol Reef National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park. Once again, they welcome your furry friend and don’t charge you an extra fee for bringing them. They have 4 different types of accommodation, tiny homes, deluxe tiny homes, renovated airstreams, or you can actually bring your own RV or camping gear and just camp out at the campsite or in your RV at the RV park and camping site. There is also a pool, an onsite food truck, and a wonderful communal outdoor space. But the real GEM of this spot is this old-school drive-in movie theatre which has a bunch of renovated old-school cars in front of a giant screen overlooking the mountains. Each night they play an American classic like Captain America or Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and they even have a concession stand in the back for you to buy popcorn and snacks for the movie. Plus you can bring your pet to the movie with you!
This is your sign to not leave your furry friend at home and bring them along on the adventure with you! Make sure to also shop our extensive line of travel gear here before your next trip.
